Bird on a ledge
|
Along with three other pieces in the Naples Museum, this
fragment belongs to a wall showing a garden enclosed by marble
transennas, among which there is a fountain with bean-shaped
basin. The yellow plumage of the bird identifies it for us as a
golden oriole.
